Presbyterian Leadership
The word Presbyterian comes from the Greek word presbuteros, meaning elder. Our church is led by both ordained pastors and elected elders who prayerfully share leadership and decision-making. We believe that God calls both ministers and members to work together in guiding the life and ministry of the church.

Guided by Scripture and Our Faith
As Presbyterians, we are guided by three foundational resources:

• The Bible

• We believe the Bible is God's inspired Word and the foundation of our faith and life.

• The Book of Confessions

This collection of historic statements of faith helps us understand and express what Christians have believed through the centuries.

The Book of Order
The Book of Order provides guidance for how we organize, govern, worship, and serve together as a church.

Bayside Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), a nationwide denomination committed to following Jesus Christ through worship, discipleship, mission, and service. Together with thousands of congregations across the country, we seek to share God's love, care for our neighbors, and faithfully serve our communities and the world.
