Music is an important part of worship and community at Bayside. Whether you’re an experienced musician or simply love to sing, there’s a place for you! Our Music Ministry offers opportunities for children, youth and adults to share their gifts, grow in faith and make music together.

Bayside Children’s Choir is a place where kids can grow in their musical gifts while learning in a Christ-centered environment. Our program emphasizes vocal and choral training, along with the foundations of music. Children of all musical backgrounds and abilities are welcome!

THE SANCTUARY CHOIR
The Sanctuary Choir prepares to sing anthems at the 11 am worship services every week, with special music for seasons such as Christmas and Easter.
Chi Yi Wolbrink, Director of Music, leads the Sanctuary Choir. Any interested person from high school through adults is welcome to participate. Music reading and vocal skills are taught along with the music.

PRAISE TEAM
Praise Team | Sail On Worship
The Praise Team brings contemporary Christian music to Bayside's Sail On Worship, our relaxed, come-as-you-are service at 9:00 am Sundays.
Under the direction of Saul Fox, the Praise Team practices from 7-8:30 pm on Mondays and again on Sunday morning at 7:45 am. The music performed by the Praise Team is more contemporary and is accompanied by guitars, drums, and a digital piano.

Bell Ringing Group
HIGH SCHOOL – ADULT
BELLS OF BAYSIDE
Adults who have some experience in bell ringing are invited to participate in this group. Practice occurs on Wednesday nights from 6:00-7:00 pm.
The Bells of Bayside perform at worship services, and they also perform at festivals, nursing homes, and various other events.

This fall, Bayside is delighted to welcome two new singers to the Sanctuary Choir!

Cassiopia Sellars joins the Alto section. Cassi is a senior Voice student at Norfolk State University and hopes to continue her education in Music Therapy.
​
Nyjaela Lewis joins the Soprano section. Nyjaela is a junior Accounting major at Norfolk State University and also sings with the Norfolk State University Concert Choir.

We’re excited to welcome Cassi and Nyjaela and look forward to sharing music, worship and fellowship together!

Bayside Fall Kickoff Concert & Community Event

2:30 PM — Pre-Concert Performance
3:00 PM — The Beatles & Beyond featuring the Tidewater Guitar Orchestra

Join us for an afternoon of live music, family fun, fellowship, and community connection at Bayside! The family-friendly concert will feature music for all generations, along with activities and opportunities to learn more about Bayside’s ministries.
Proceeds will support Bayside Preschool’s Playground
Revitalization Fund and help our young worshipers attend the 2027 Presbyterian Association of Musicians Worship & Music Conference.
