Welcome to Bayside's Worship Ministry

| The Sunday morning Worship
service is often the first glimpse a visitor has of Bayside Presbyterian
Church. We take that challenge seriously. Worship is our #1
purpose and Worship is the most public and visible connection with the
community. We want each service to Praise and Honor God and share
the message of Good News that Christ has brought to us. How do we
best do that? First we count on the dedication of our Pastoral Staff
and our Music Director to present God’s message in word and in song.
But what about all the details that go into making a service happen?
We are grateful to our dedicated members who help prepare for our Sunday
morning worship service. |
| As we enter the Sanctuary
Greeters greet us, ushers hand us bulletins, candles are lighted, music
is playing, flowers are in place by the Cross, there are so many details
we take for granted, but someone came early and readied the Sanctuary and
will stay late to lock up at the end. What makes Worship meaningful
for each individual varies and we have been introducing some changes that
blend the old with the new. We have been looking to make our service
vital and offer something that will speak to the hearts of each of us.

Worship oversees the
following areas:

Establishing times for and
order of worship, in consultation with the Pastors and the Director of
Music Ministries

Weddings and Funerals

Preparing the Sanctuary for
services of worship

Preparing and serving communion

Ushers for each service

Greeters

Church Music in coordination
with the Director of Music

Baptisms

Lay leadership

Children’s Church Program
