| Purpose:
Stewardship Ministry oversees
finances of the church and develops
plans and programs to encourage and facilitate the active involvement of
our membership, with the goal of continually increasing our individual
and collective commitment to the needs of God’s church..
Activities:
The ministry
encourages the congregation's stewardship of time, talent, and money year
around through the following:

Working with the
Evangelism Ministry to promote the involvement of new members into the
full life and work of the church.

Working with the
Congregational Care Ministry to care for church members who have become,
or are becoming, inactive.

Providing a Confirmation
Class for young people to make a commitment to Christ and the church.

Securing members
of the congregation to become active in the ministries of Session and its
committees, the Church School, the fellowships and programs of the church,
and other activities in the life of the church.

Keeping the role
of active/inactive members.

Supervising an
annual program to explain to the members the programs and needs of the
church.

Overseeing an annual
stewardship campaign of time and talents, maintaining a list of interests
and talents of members.

Encouraging long
term stewardship through wills and bequests.

Prepare yearly budget

Maintain collection of funds
and deposits through Treasurer

Work with ministries of Session
for funding of services or projects as approved by Session
-
Oversee gifts given to the church
and to disperse church funds as appropriate

Annual audit with Treasurer

How Can I Get Involved?
We are blessed by those who
can help support the church’s ministry with regular financial pledges.
Volunteers are needed and welcomed who can help count money following Sunday’s
Services of Worship. Contact any member of the Stewardship Ministry
for more information about getting involved.
