Welcome to Bayside's Finance Ministry
One of the responsibilities of the Finance Ministry is to prepare the annual budget for Bayside Presbyterian Church. This is accomplished with input from the other ministries, and from the estimates of giving received from the Commitment Ministry from the Fall Stewardship Campaign. Once the data is received from these sources, then the budget is prepared and presented to the Session for approval for the following calendar year.

Ongoing, the Finance Ministry makes timely reports of the financial status of the church to the ministries and to the Session. Annual audits by an outside CPA firm have found Bayside's financial records to be in great shape.

In addition to preparing and monitoring Bayside's budget, the Finance Ministry oversees the counting of the funds collected on Sundays. This is done in a secure area with at least three rotating church members as tellers. The use of pledge envelopes greatly simplify this procedure for the tellers and the Church Treasurer.

The Finance Ministry also makes recommendations to the Session for year end disbursement of benevolent requests to organizations in the greater Church.

The Finance ministry is moderated by Jack Hamilton and also served by Carroll Page and David Rudiger.
