| Purpose:
The Evangelism Ministry is
responsible for the intentional recruitment, training and orientation of
new members and leading the Session and congregation to proclaim the Gospel
in word and action.
Activities and Programs:
The ministry carries out
these objectives by:

Identifying prospective members
and assuring that appropriate contact is made with them.

Working with the Education Ministry
to provide training in skills for visiting prospective members through
programs such as the Inquirer’s Class and Yearly Confirmation Classes.

Working with the Commitment
Ministry to assimilate new members into the full life and work of the church.

Working with the Congregational
Care Ministry to identify pastoral concerns among new and prospective members.

Keeping the Session and congregation
aware of ways in which we can proclaim the Gospel in our community.

Providing opportunities for
members to share their personal faith journeys through faith discovery
events or similar events.

Provide information to our surrounding
community and members to assist them with life situations through programs
such as Aging with Grace.

inspirational cards with church logo and information.
