Congregational Care is the Ministry that oversees the nurture, care, support and fellowship of the congregation. As a church family we meet the charge expressed in our Mission Statement to "provide a supportive, loving, and caring ministry to and with one another."
Activities and Programs:
Some of the ways we meet this purpose:
- Correspondence – Cards, notes, and phone calls are used to remind members and friends, who may be sick, shut-in or grieving, that their church family is praying for them.
- A “Shepherding Team” that provides contact to church members in assisted living/hospital/homebound.
- Stephen Ministry - A strong support program for individual church members.
- Bayside Fun and Fellowship (BFF) programs - a series of programs provided throughout the year, i.e. baseball games, movies, theater/shows, speakers, etc.
- Prayer Chain: Verbal requests, emailed requests, and requests from forms in the pew racks are responded to through the power of corporate prayer.
- New Baby Program
- Prayer Shawl Ministry
- Bereavement Receptions
- Pictorial Directory: We coordinate the development of a church-wide pictorial directory and in maintaining an up-to-date online directory.
- To coordinate with worship the delivery of flowers weekly
